Kellie Martin is an American actor and actress on television and film. She is best known for her roles as Christy Huddleston in the 'period drama' series 'Christy Christy', Rebecca Thatcher in the family drama 'Life Goes On' and Lucy Knight in the medical drama series 'ER'. Kellie Martin is most well-known for her performance as a protagonist in her role in the Hailey Dean Mystery Series. Born to a department store buyer and a kindergarten teacher Martin was able to begin her career in acting in the age of seven when her aunt, who served as the nanny of actor Michael Landon's kids, assisted her in landing a guest spot in the 1982 series "Father Murphy.". When she completed her studies at Yale University in 1982, Martin began to take her acting profession more than just a hobby. She landed significant roles on TV as well as the big screen. Martin was also an artist and photographer. Being a mom to two kids, she's been named the national spokesperson for Lupus. She has also been spreading the word about the disease since her younger sister died from the illness at age 19.
