Patina Miller

Patina Patina PatinaMiller took on the title role in the 1972 Stephen Schwartz Broadway musical "Pippin". "Pippin" was created by Tony Award winning director Diane Paulus directed "Pippin" and also featured Matthew James Thomas and Andrea Martin. Terrence Mann and Matthew James Thomas were the Other stars. Patina created her own modern take on the award-winning Benjamin Vereen's role and managed to master the Fosse dance moves which are essential to the production. The performance of Patina earned her a Tony Award in the category of Best Actress, Lead Role Musical. The Outer Critics Circle Award was also presented for Outstanding Actress. Between December 2012 and December 2012, she played the role of the Lead Player in the American Repertory Theater's production Pippin. Miller made her Broadway debut in the 2011 Broadway season as the gutsy nightclub-singer-turned-nun "Deloris Van Cartier" in the stage adaptation of "Sister Act", which earned her first Tony nomination, as well as Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations for her performance.
